Naturally curious, Jef seeks to understand the logical needs, pain points, and desired outcomes clients seek in the end result of an intentionally created website. With a background in project management, web design and writing, Jef believes that websites tell a story, with users being the central characters journeying through its pages of information. According to Jef, websites should not only educate and inform decisions, they should meet the emotional needs of its users . . . that is, characters.
Boiled down to the heart of the matter, Jef believes the objective of any website is to help users overcome an obstacle. Web design, functionality, imagery, and writing must work together to provide a solution for the user. While these components make for a happy ending on the website, Jef understands the story of a client’s web presence doesn’t end with the site, but carries through to email nurturing campaigns and social media communities. This 360-degree mentality and skillset has proven to provide—with client after client—invaluable insights and direction to Sherpa’s digital projects.
When Jef isn’t going the extra mile for clients, you can find him volunteering as a mentor for a local nonprofit, participating as a board member for Decatur Writer’s Studio, traveling the globe, and volunteering as with the Grant Park Candlelight Tour of Homes by managing communications, online ticket sales, special events, and the website.
